“Dad and Mom loved their independence in a retirement apartment. But when mom fell and broke her hip and dementia was worsening, it became clear they couldn’t live alone. How to best honor my parents was uppermost in my thoughts. My wife’s spinal cord injury precluded caring for them in our home. Fortunately Joy accepted them into her home, EnjoyCare. Her kindness, joyful attitude, patience and love made them feel very much at home. While they both could still walk, they loved sitting under the beautiful gazebo in the back yard and walking with their walkers on the cement walkway around the garden. They enjoy her cooking. As a physician, I appreciate her intuition, formed from years of experience caring for elderly, about when they may need medical attention. I truly admire how kindly she handles toileting disasters that might exasperate many of us ordinary folks and makes Mom and Dad feel so quickly comfortable and respected. Joy has hired a truly wonderful staff that shares her passion for excellent, loving care. I am so grateful to have my folks in Joy’s home.”

“EnJoyCare is not a concept limited to the experience of the home residents: it reflects the approach of the staff modeled by Joy herself. Mixing high-level expertise in the needs of older persons, Joy and the team look for opportunities to celebrate lives--birthdays, holidays, whatever.

One example struck me as particularly thoughtful. Several of the older clients were watching a televised Easter communion service together. Joy and Karis had planned ahead for the service. They gave each person unleavened bread and servings of grape juice so that they could go beyond observing the service. They participated.

When episodic medical surprises happen, Joy's experience and background in nursing shines through. She masterfully orchestrates the staff and makes accommodations to optimize comfort, dignity, and return to well-being.

Mom once characterized family as a "little heaven on earth." EnjoyCare goes a long way toward capturing that idea, and when the time comes, assisting to the journey to the next heaven.”

“Our family is deeply grateful to have had our mother at Enjoy Care for the past five years. Joy and Karis, along with the entire staff, care for the residents with genuine respect and kindness. They made our mother feel like part of a larger family and were always wonderfully flexible in meeting both her needs and ours.
During Mom’s final month, as her health declined rapidly, Joy and the staff worked around the clock to keep her comfortable and at peace. No matter when we visited, we arrived to find her hair neatly combed, her lips moistened, and her favorite music playing softly in the background. Joy truly worked her magic—not only ensuring our mother remained comfortable and peaceful but also supporting our family with the same compassion and care.”

“My parents were residents at EnjoyCare Residential Care Home during the challenging COVID period. Under the thoughtful leadership of owner Joy Boling, my parents were never ostracized or made to feel isolated. Instead, they were embraced with compassion and treated with the utmost respect, while adhering to Covid guidelines.

EnjoyCare provided a warm, home‑like environment that truly set it apart. The home‑cooked meals were exceptional, often prepared with vegetables grown in the beautiful on‑site garden. Fellowship around the table created a sense of community, and the spacious backyard offered safe walking paths and areas for gentle exercise, even for those using walkers.

My mother lived at EnjoyCare for several months before transitioning to hospice at EnjoyCare, and my father remained there for a couple of years before also transitioning to hospice at EnjoyCare. Throughout both experiences, the staff demonstrated remarkable professionalism, empathy, and attentiveness. They ensured that my parents’ final days were filled with dignity, comfort, and heartfelt care.

Both of my parents passed peacefully, surrounded by people who genuinely cared for them. I am profoundly grateful to Joy, Karis, and the entire EnjoyCare team for the love and support they provided to my parents.”
